MUMBAI INDIA'S RAISES AGAINST KINGS PUNJAB

Mumbai Indians 122-2 (Bravo 70no, Tendulkar 41no) beatKings XI Punjab 119-9 (Sohal 43, Duminy 2-15) by eight wicketsScorecardIndian Premier League, Centurion
The Mumbai Indians juggled their batting order once again and came up with a winner as a Dwayne Bravo half-century from the top of the order saw them ease to an eight-wicket win over the Kings XI Punjab at Centurion.
However, they were only chasing 120 after the Kings XI made just 119 for nine from their 20 overs and Bravo's blast unbeaten of 70 in 59 balls ensured that the Indians raced to victory in the 17th over.
Sunny Sohal top scored for the Punjab side with 43 in just 23 balls but wickets tumbled throughout their innings, JP Duminy returning two for 15 in four overs and Lasith Malinga, Dhawal Kulkarni, Harbhajan Singh and Ajinkya Rahane all taking a wicket apiece.
Simon Katich and Irfan Pathan failed to score, Kumar Sangakkara made just eight and captain Yuvraj Singh 12 but despite having Karan Goel (20 not out) at number eight, Brett Lee (8) at number nine and Piyush Chawla (0) at number nine, they were helpless against a fine bowling display.
Bravo lost opening partner Sanath Jayasuriya (4) and number three Rahane (1) but he was already into his stride, so much that the score was 40 for two when Rahane fell, trapped in front by leg-spinner Chawla.
Bravo formed an unbeaten third-wicket partnership worth 82 with captain Sachin Tendulkar, who contributed 41 not out in 29 balls with four fours and one six.
Bravo, not deemed fit enough to take part in the West Indies' Test series in England, thumped seven fours and three sixes

Royal Challengers Bangalore 176-4 (Taylor 81no) beatKolkata Knight Riders 173-4 (McCullum 84no, Vinay Kumar 2-33) by six wicketsScorecardIndian Premier League, Centurion
Brendon McCullum returned to form with 84 and pulled off a stunning catch to dismiss Jacques Kallis, but he was overshadowed by his compartriot Ross Taylor, whose own unbeaten half-century saw the Royal Challengers Bangalore to a much-needed six-wicket win over the Kolkata Knight Riders at Centurion Park.
McCullum blasted an unbeaten 84 in 64 balls as the Knight Riders made their way to 173 for four but Taylor was even more impressive, striking 81 not out in just 33 balls as the Challengers got home with four balls to spare.
The match was another example of how a team can never be counted out in Twenty20 as before Taylor got going, the Knight Riders were well ahea of the game after they removed free-scoring openers Jesse Ryder (22) and Jacques Kallis (32). Kallis cut Murali Kartik powerfully only to see McCullum dive full length to his left at cover to pull off a stunning catch. Kallis was as stunned as anybody, but he had to go and soon after, Ryder sliced a catch to Saurav Ganguly and once Robin Uthappa fell for seven and Rahul Dravid for 12, the Challengers were in trouble at 122 for four in the 16th over.
Step forward Taylor, who soon took Kartik for two sixes in two balls to get the run chase back on track and the deal was almost complete when Taylor and Mark Boucher (13 not out) took Ishant Sharma for 17 runs in the 18th over, Boucher hacking a chest-high full toss over the boundary ropes to exact a double punishment as the umpire had no choice but to call it a no ball.
Two more sixes off of Agit Agarkar left just five runs required from the last over and after Boucher scampered a leg bye, Taylor ended the match in supreme style by hoisting Angelo Mathews into the crowd at midwicket with his fifth six.
Earlier, the Knight Riders welcomed a return to form for captain McCullum, who led by example by hitting ten fours and two sixes, employing some deft touches to score boundaries over the wicket-keeper's head as well as some crashing strokes through the off side.
He was supported by David Hussey, who hit 43 in 27 balls on his first start of the 2009 IPL, with three fours and two sixes. McCullum kept hitting despite losing Ganguly (4), Arindam Ghosh (7), and Mathews (16) along the way.
Ranganath Vinay Kumar took advantage of some early movement to have Ganguly and Ghosh caught by wicket-keeper Boucher as the decision by the Royal Challengers Bangalore to bowl first after winning the toss eventually paid off

Deccan Chargers 166-7 (Smith 47, Pathan 3-34) beatRajasthan Royals 113 (Asnodkar 44, Sharma 3-12) by 53 runsScorecardIndian Premier League, Kimberley
The Deccan Chargers moved to within two points of the top of the Indian Premier League with a comprehensive 53-run win over reigning champions Rajasthan Royals.
Dwayne Smith hammered 47 as the Deccan Chargers racked up 166 for seven in Kimberley beforethe Royals were bowled out for 113, Rohit Sharma taking three wickets.
Smith, keeping home favourite Herschelle Gibbs out of the side as the Chargers recalled Chaminda Vaas, justified his selection by hitting four sixes in his 32-ball innings before he was the last man to fall with one ball remaining in the innings.
Andrew Symonds chipped in with 30 in 19 balls after Tirumalasett Suman hit 29 in 19 deliveries at the very top of the order.
Vaas also hit a maximum as he contributed 20 in 15 balls coming in at number six as Yusuf Pathan picked up three for 34 and Ravi Jadeja two for 26.
The Royals, a shadow of themselves in 2008, never threatened the target, Vaas removing Graeme Smith (1) and Lee Carseldine (8) to put the Chargers in control.
Naman Ojha was run out for 16 before Yusuf Pathan chipped a catch to Dwayne Smith off Naman's namesake Pragyan and all hope was lost when Swapnil Asnodkar's punchy innings of 44 in 39 balls was ended in another farcical run out.
Rohit Sharma then picked up two wickets in two balls to dismiss Morne Morkel (8) and Shane Warne (0), who had torn a hamstring in the field, the off-spinner finishing with three for 12 having also clean bowled Abhishek Raut for one.
Siddharth Trivedi (1) was then bowled by RP Singh and Munaf Patel was run out in the final over, summing up their night.
Vaas, playing his first game of the tournament, showed he has lost none of his control, delivering a superb early spell and returning at the death to complete figures of two for 18 from four overs, leaving Jadeja unbeaten on 19.
The result means the Chargers replace the Royals in third place as the Royals drop to fourth.

KOLKATA FALLS AGAIN, DELHI MOVES A HEAD
Delhi Daredevils 125-3 (de Villiers 40no, Warner 36) beatKolkata Knight Riders 123-8 (Ganguly 44, Mishra 3-14) by seven wicketsScorecardIndian Premier League, Johannesburg
The Delhi Daredevils coasted to a seven-wicket win over the Kolkata Knight Riders in Johannesburg to move back to the top of the Indian Premier League table.
The Knight Riders' were restricted to 123 for eight, Amit Mishra ripping through their middle order with three for 14, before AB de Villiers guided the Daredevils home with nearly three overs to spare with an unbeaten 40.
The result leaves the Kolkata side well adrift and their batting, apart from Saurav Ganguly (44) and Agit Agarkar (39) failed to fire. Highly-rated overseas stars Brad Hodge and Morne van Wyk failed to muster a run between them while Brendon McCullum was unluckily given out trapped in front shortly after he had smashed Ashish Nehra for a six.
Man of the match Mishra dismissed Yashpal Singh (13), Wriddhaman Saha (0) and Moises Henriques (2) before Agarkar's late rally offered Kolkata hope.
A quick blast of 36 in 29 balls from David Warner ensured that the Daredevils were always ahead of the rate as he shared a 53-run opening stand with Gautam Gamhir (18).
Tillakaratne Dilshan (1) fell to a superb boundary catch by Henriques as he just failed to clear the ropes when he took on Ishant Sharma, but the cool heads of de Villiers and Dinesh Karthik (17 not out) ensured there was no way back for the Knight Riders.

Delhi Daredevils 118-3 (de Villiers 50no)Mumbai Indians 116 (Bravo 35, Bhatia 3-15) by seven wicketsScorecardIndian Premier League, East London
Rajat Bhatia picked up three for 15 to help set up a comprehensive seven-wicket Indian Premier League win for the Delhi Daredevils over the Mumbai Indians in East London, a result which puts the Daredevils top and leaves the Indians under pressure.
Bhatia's medium pace accounted for Pinal Shah (11), Ajinkya Rahane (12) and Rohan Raje (1) as the Indians, after winning the toss and choosing to bat, were bowled out for 106 in 20 overs.
Dwayne Bravo top scored with 35 in 30 balls, with two fours and the only two maximums of the innings as left-arm pacers Ashish Nehra and Dirk Nannes picked up two wickets apiece as the new Mumbai opening partnership of Luke Ronchi (0) and JP Duminy (0) failed spectacularly.
Captain Sachin Tendulkar, batting at number four, made 15 before he was run out by wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik.
The Daredevils' innings was a complete contrast as all four batsmen made their runs at a useful rate and it was a half-century stand between AB de Villiers and Tillakaratne Dilshan that ensured there was no way back into the match for the Mumbai side.
Openers Gautam Gambhir (19) and David Warner (21) made 42 in 50 balls to lay the platform for de Villiers (50 not out) and Dilshan (17) to see them to the brink of victory. Shortly after de Villiers completed his half-century, Karthik (5 not out) thumped a four through midwicket to win the match.
Harbhajan Singh had Gambhir caught by wicket-keeper Ronchi while Duminy had Warner stumped and Dilshan was caught behind off of compatriot Lasith Malinga.

Two overs of off-spin from Raina that conceded just eight runs tightened the screw on the Kings XI before Lakhsmipathy Balaji ensured that Yuvraj and Jayawardene were unable to get near the 24 required from the final six deliveries, putting the Super Kings back on top of the table.

Rohit Sharma top scored with 38 and then took four wickets in five balls including a hat-trick as the Deccan Chargers beat the Mumbai Indians by 19 runs to get their Indian Premier League campaign on track.
The Indians, in pursuit of 146 to win, appeared to be well set before Dwayne Bravo (13) was caught at long on trying to take on the bowling of Tirumalasetti Suman and after that, panic appeared to set in and batsman after batsman threw their wickets away.
Abhishek Nayar (1) and Harbhajan Singh (0) were bowled by consecutive Sharma deliveries to set up the hat-trick, which he completed with the first ball of his next over when he had JP Duminy (52) smartly caught down the legside by Adam Gilchrist. One more run was added from the next ball before Saurabh Tiwary danced down the track and was stumped with Sharma at that point boasting figures of four for four.
The Indians were in early trouble when Sanath Jayasuriya (5) and Sachin Tendulkar (1) were both dismissed by RP Singh, who finished with two for 19 before the rest of the batting crumbled in the face of the spinners as Suman took two for 14.
Earlier, the Deccan Chargers innings failed to really get going, Gilchrist (25), Suman (20) and Vanugopal Rao (28) all getting starts and only Sharma getting in and going on to make a meaningful score. Sharma faced 36 balls, hitting two fours and a six as Lasith Malinaga, Dhawal Kulkarni, Bravo, Rohan Raje and Jayasuriya claiming a wicket apiece.

DD's Strong hit to KKR

Delhi Daredevils 157-1 (Gambhir 71no, Dilshan 42no) beatKolkata Knight Riders 153-4 (van Wyk 74, McCullum 35) by nine wicketsScorecardIndian Premier League, Durban
The Delhi Daredevils jumped to the top of the Indian Premier League table with a nine-wicket win over the Kolkata Knight Riders in Durban. Acting captain Gautam Gambhir was unbeaten on 71 as the Daredevils raced to 157 for one with an over to spare after the Knight Riders, anchored by 74 from Morne van Wyk, had reached 153 for four.
The Knight Riders were both desperately poor and desperately unlucky in the field, Brendon McCullum dropping Gambhir when he was on 21 and then when the left-hander did edge to wicket-keeper van Wyk, on 45, he was given not out. Countless other shots flew just wide or short of fielders but the fumbles and drops were again far too high.
South African van Wyk, however, was superb in hitting 74 in 48 deliveries, a rare innings that was full of orthodox drives and precise cuts. It was a complete contrast to McCullum's efforts, all wild swings of the bat, although when he did connect, the ball travelled and he made a swift 35 to get the Knight Riders off to a good start.
Brad Hodge made just ten before compatriot Moises Henriques hit an unbeaten 30 in 24 balls. Pradeep Sangwan picked up two for 29 while Ashish Nehra (1-23) bowled van Wyk.
Gambhir and Warner then laid the foundations for a successful run chase by adding 60 runs in seven overs before Warner pulled an Agit Agarkar bouncer high in the air where Henriques held the catch, one run after McCullum had dropped Gambhir.
Tillakaratne Dilshan (42 not out in 34 balls) added some late fireworks to the party by smashing Ishant Sharma into the stands, and Henriques more farce when he dropped Gambhir at midwicket although by that time the match was all but over. Gambhir closed proceedings by driving Sharma over mid-off, the same shot that he had used to bring up his half-century.

Rajasthan Royals 211-4 (Smith 77, Ojha 66) beatKings XI Punjab 133-8 (Yuvraj Singh 48, Amit Singh 3-9) by 78 runsScorecardIndian Premier League, Durban
The Rajasthan Royals cruised to a 78-win over the Kings XI Punjab on the back of the 2009 tournament's first total of more than 200 in Durban.
Openers Graeme Smith and Naman Ojha scored half-centuries as the reigning champions smashed their way to 211 for four before the Kings XI were restricted to 133 for eight, never having made a serious assault on their target.
Smith and Ojha made a mockery of Punjab captain Yuvraj Singh's decision to bowl first, the South African captain reaching 77 in 44 balls with 12 fours and a six while Ojha made 68 in 51 balls with five fours and five sixes in a blistering display of hitting in the PowerPlay overs. Smith more than doubled his tally for the tournament with the one innings and wicket-keeper would complete a good day by stumping Kumar Sangakkara off of Yusuf Pathan.
Spinners Piyush Chawla (2-30) and Ramesh Powar (1-30) eventually dismissed the pair but they had provided the platform for Yusuf Pathan (12 from seven balls), Ravindra Jadeja (33 in 12) and Lee Carseldine (16 in nine) to come in and attack from ball one.
Irfan Pathan was the other bowler to grab a wicket, although he leaked 40 runs in his four overs with Shanthakumaran Sreesanth making an unhappy return to action by conceding 44 in four wicketless overs.
The Kings XI then lost opener Sunny Sohal to the first ball of their reply when he guided Amit Singh to slip and they were two for two when Karan Goel was caught by Shane Harwood off the same bowler.
The experienced trio of Sangakkara (11), Simon Katich (10) and Mahela Jayawardene (9) failed to fire and it was left to captain Yuvraj to try and salvage some pride, the left-hander hitting three big sixes and three fours before he was caught off a miscue for 48 in 37 balls.
The Kings XI then opted to preserve their run rate, batting out the final overs with hardly a shot in anger as the match petered out but the Royals were not remotely disappointed.
Amit Singh completed an inspired spell with figures of three for nine while Shane Warne took two for 38.

4TH MAY MATCH - BANGALORE STUNNING WIN AND CHENNAI KINGS ARE THRU AGAINST DECCAN

Chennai Super Kings 178-3 (Dhoni 58no, Hayden 43) beatDeccan Chargers 100 (Smith 49, Jakati 4-22) by 78 runsIndian Premier League, East LondonScorecard
Shadeb Jakati picked up four wickets for the second match in a row as the Chennai Super Kings moved to the top of the table with a 78-run thrashing of the Deccan Chargers in East London.
Left-arm spinner Jakati returned four for 22 as the Chargers were bowled out for 100 in the 15th over after a Mahendra Singh Dhoni half-century drove the Super Kings to a score of 178 for three.
And the victory came despite a terrible fielding display, with three catches going down and one of the most farcical run out misses of the tournament to date.
There was nothing farcical about their batting display, however, which was given a trademark fast start from Matthew Hayden, who pummelled 43 in in 26 balls with five fours and three sixes before captai Dhoni got himself back into some form with an unbeaten 58 from 37 balls with six fours and a six.
Suresh Raina (32) and Murali Vijay (31) also chipped in as the Super Kings set up a commanding score. RP Singh, Shaoib Ahmed and Tirumalasetti Suman took a wicket apiece.
The Chargers were quickly one for three, losing Adam Gilchrist to the first ball of the innings when he was trapped in front by Albie Morkel, Herschelle Gibbs was bowled by Sudeep Tyagi and VVS Laxman clipped Morkel to Jakati at midwicket, all three men failing to score.
Dwayne Smith then counter-attacked although he was twice missed in the deep early on in his innings and he smashed five sixes in two fours in a blistering knock of 49 in 21 balls before he was trapped in front by the impressive Jakati. Just prior to that, he had been at the same end as Suman, but was able to recover his ground as the stumps were first broken without the ball, and then a return throw sailed past.
Once Smith was dismissed, however, there was no way back for the Chargers, particularly since Rohit Sharma (21) had thrown his wicket away shortly beforehand when he lofted Jakati to Badrinath at midwicket.
Jakati hastened the end of the match by having Venugopal Rao caught by Muttiah Muralitharan and bowling Ryan Harris and the Sri Lankan wasn't to be denied, grabbing two wickets in two balls to dismiss Suman (17) and RP Singh (2). He didn't have a chance to complete a hat-trick, though, as Raina had Ojha caught by Jakati to close the innings in 14.4 overs.
The Chargers dropped to fourth in the table as a result of the loss, their third in a row.

Royal Challengers Bangalore 150-1 (Kallis 69no, Uthappa 66no) beatMumbai Indians 149-4 (Jayasuriya 52, Bravo 50) by nine wicketsScorecardIndian Premier League, Johannesburg
The Royal Challengers Bangalore took their third win in a row with unbeaten half-centuries from Jacques Kallis and Robin Uthappa enabling them to cruise to an eight-wicket victory over the Mumbai Indians in Johannesburg.
The Indians' score of 149 for four was propped up by half-centuries from Sanath Jayasuriya and Dwayne Bravo before Kallis made 69 and Uthappa, against the team he played for last year, 66 to seal a convincing win with 11 balls to spare.
The Indians were reduced to 32 for three as Dillon du Preez ripped through their batting to dismiss Sachin Tendulkar (11), Ajinkya Rahane (0) and JP Duminy (1).
Jayasuriya hit 52 in 43 balls and Bravo 50 not out in 40 deliveries, adding 60 for the fourth wicket which came when Jayasuriya was caught by Vinay Kumar off left-arm spinner Roelof van der Merwe.
Abhishek Nayar stroked four fours to remain unbeaten on 29 in 20 balls but 149 never looked enough with du Preez finishing with three for 32.
The Indians struck early to remove Wasim Jaffer, caught by Nayar off Zaheer Khan for seven but thereafter, Kallis and Uthappa held sway.
Kallis lifted Lasith Malinga effortlessly for six over backward square leg early in his innings before Uthappa overcame a shaky start to smash Bravo out of the ground for the biggest six of the competition so far.
Kallis faced 59 balls, hitting five fours and two sixes in all while Uthappa faced 42 deliveries, thumping eight fours and two sixes.
The Bangalore side picked four South Africans and seven Indians in their side and the balance worked well enough to put them up to fourth in the table, while the Mumbai team have dropped to sixth.

Kings XI Punjab 154-4 (Jayawardene 52no) beatKolkata Knight Riders 153-3 (Hodge 70no, Chawla 2-27) by six wicketsScorecardIndian Premier League, Port Elizabeth
Mahela Jayawardene rode his luck to steer the Kings XI Punjab to a six-wicket win over the Kolkata Knight Riders in Port Elizabeth that put them on top of the table.
Jayawardene survived what appeared to be a perfectly good lbw shout from left-arm spinner Murali Kartik and could have been run out had Chris Gayle hit the stumps one over later, but the Sri Lankan reached 52 not out as the Kings XI secured a six-wicket win off the final ball of the match.
Chasing a modest 154 to win, the Kings XI lost Kumar Sangakkara (0) in the second over before Sunny Sohal (25) and Simon Katich (34) put on 43 for the second wicket.
Sohal, who faced 17 balls, was caught by Saurav Ganguly off Agarkar before Katich pulled a Brad Hodge full toss straight to Wriddhiman Saha at deep midwicket and when Yuvraj Singh was caught at deep cover for 14, the Knight Riders were back in the match.
A typically classy off-drive in the penultimate over from the former Sri Lankan captain raced to the boundary and the Kings XI were left with seven runs to win with six remaining after Irfan Pathan swatted Ishant Sharma for a four through midwicket.
Jayawardene brought up his half-century with a en edged four to third man with three balls to go before a single left Irfan Pathan on strike for the final ball with the scores level. The Indian all-rounder was able to flick his compatriot Agit Agarkar through the leg-side for the winning single, leaving the Knight Riders to rue missed chances - dropping both Sohal and Katich earlier added to their misery.
Eight bowlers were used as they tried to keep themselves in the game, the pick of them being Ishant Sharma, who picked up two for 27 although Agarkar and Kartik were excellent with their control of line and length under pressure.
Earlier, Hodge's second half-century in as many matches propelled the Knight Riders to 153 for three. The Victorian thumped ten fours and a six, making an unbeaten 70 in just 43 balls after Brendon McCullum (19), Gayle (17) and Ganguly (22) had all been dismissed.
Hodge, who became the first man to reach 2,000 Twenty20 runs earlier in the tournament, played shots all around the ground, holding the innings together. Morne van Wyk was unbeaten on 18.

CHENNAI SAVED BY RIANA AGAINST RR
Chennai Super Kings 164-5 (Raina 98, Pathan 2-17) beatRajasthan Royals 126 (Jadeja 37, Balaji 4-21) by 38 runsScorecardIndian Premier League, Centurion
Suresh Raina blasted 98 in 55 balls, took a wicket and two catches as the Chennai Super Kings beat the Rajasthan Royals by 38 runs - their first win over the 2008 champions in four attempts.
Raina's innings helped the Super Kigns post 164 for five before the Royals were bowled out for 126, Lakshmipathy Balaji taking four for 21 and Albie Morkel and Jacob Oram taking two wickets apiece.
Raina was in stunning form, smashing five sixes and ten fours and he was into the action early when Matthew Hayden (1) was bowled by Yusuf Pathan (2-17) in the second over.
Raina was given useful support by Subramaniam Badrinath, who made 29 in 27 balls and Mahendra Singh Dhoni, unbeaten on 22 in 19 deliveries. Raina fell two short of a century when he was caught by Graeme Smith in the deep as Munaf Patel grabbed two for 25 after he had Jacob Oram caught by Dimitri Mascarenhas for two.
Rob Quiney made a stroke-filled 28, but everything that could go wrong for the Royals did - Swapnil Asnodkar's innings of ten was ended when he smashed his stumps trying to pull Morkel and a steady stream of wickets thereafter derailed their cause.
Balaji was brilliant, dismissing dangermen Pathan (20) and Ravi Jadeja (37), also picking up Shane Warne (3) and Siddharth Trivedi (2) while Raina earned himself the man of the match award by having Quiney trapped in front and then taking the catches to dismiss Pathan and Trivedi.

PUNJAB SMASHES MUMBAI INDIANS
Kings XI Punjab 119-8 (Sangakkara 45no, Malinga 2-12) beatMumbai Indians 116-7 (Duminy 59, Abdulla 2-19) by three runs Kings XI Punjab 119-8 (Sangakkara 45no, Malinga 2-12) beatMumbai Indians 116-7 (Duminy 59, Abdulla 2-19) by three runsScorecardIndian Premier League, Durban
The Kings XI Punjab managed to defend 119 to beat the Mumbai Indians by three runs in an entertaining low-scoring Indian Premier League match in Durban.
Batting first, the Kings XI, anchored by Kumar Sangakkara's unbeaten 45, reached 119 for eight before restricting the Mumbai Indians to 116 for seven.
Both sides lost wickets at regular intervals, with spin playing a key role throughout the match. Off-spinners Harbhajan Singh and JP Duminy picked up one wicket, as did left-armer Sanath Jayasuriya although the pick of the bowlers was Lasith Malinga who bowled Wilkin Mota and Piyush Chawla with searing yorkers to finish with two for 12.
Sangakkara held the innings together with 45 in 44 balls, with just two fours and one six, but this was not a match where big hiting was particularly prevalent as at times, batsmen were trying everything just to survive.
The Indians were rocked when Sanath Jayasuriya (0) and Sachin Tendulkar (1) departed early, as did Shikhar Dhawan, who was trapped in front by Yusuf Abdulla for three.
The left-arm seamer returned to bowl the final over when Mumbai needed 12 to win and had JP Duminy caught on the boundary by substitute Taruwar Kohli for a beautifully made 59 to effectively end the Mumbai Indians' charge.
Duminy had run out of recognised batsmen once Dwayne Bravo, Abhishek Nayar (both making 15) and Harbhajan Singh (6) were dismissed.
His 59 came from 63 balls with four boundaries, leaving Saurabh Tiwary unbeaten on six as the Kings XI moved into the semi-final qualification places for the first time in the tournament.

Rajasthan smart win against DELHI- Pathan is the wayman for the win
Rajasthan Royals 147-5 (Pathan 62no, Smith 44no) beatDelhi Daredevils 143-7 (de Villiers 50, Patel 2-14) by five wicketsScorecardIndian Premier League, Centurion Park
Yusuf Pathan smashed six sixes on his way to an unbeaten 62 in 30 balls that drove the Rajasthan Royals to a five-wicket win over the Delhi Daredevils in Centurion Park with nine balls to spare.
The result, coming when the Royals reached 147 for five having restricted the Daredevils to 144 for five, means that Deccan Chargers remain the only unbeaten team in the league.
The Daredevils elected to but were soon in trouble as Dimitri Mascarenhas removed Virender Sehwag for eight and Gautam Gambhir for 16. Tillakaratne Dilshan (7) and Dinesh Karthik (4) also fell cheaply and the innings was in desperate need of salvaging.
The fightback came from AB de Villiers, who stroked 50 in 40 balls before he was adjudged to be out lbw to Shane Warne but late runs from Daniel Vettori (29) and Mithun Manhas (23) gave their bowlers something to work with.
Munaf Patel and Warne joined Mascarenhas in taking two wickets.
The Royals tried a new opening combination with Rob Quiney (4) partnering Graeme Smith, but he fell lbw to Ashish Nehra and when Swapnil Asnodkar (11), Paul Valthaty (4), Ravi Jadeja (16) and Warne (0) were all dismissed quickly, the Daredevils were well on top with the score 64 for five.
Incredibly, the Royals were not to lose another wicket. Smith anchored the innings from one end while Pathan took off from the over, crashing Vettori for two sixes in two balls before meting out similar maximum punishment for Nehra and Amit Mishra although he was lucky to be dropped at long on by Pradeep Sangwan.
In amongst the chaos, Mishra picked up three for 34 and Nehra one for 23 but nothing was going to stop Pathan's charge. He won the Royals their match against the Kolkata Knight Riders in a Super Over but with him in the sort of mood he was today, every over was a Super one for the Royals, if not the Daredevils bowlers.
Smith was unbeaten on 44, having faced 46 deliveries while Pathan also hit three fours.

Kamran Khan, the Rajasthan Royals left-arm seamer, has been reported for a suspect action. Rudi Koertzen and Gary Baxter, the on-field umpires for the IPL game between Rajasthan and Chennai Super Kings at Centurion on April 30, said they had concerns over Kamran, 18, and hence requested the authorities to review his action.
The two on-field umpires and TV umpire Amish Saheba reviewed footage of the game and believed Kamran's action needed further scrutiny. The matter has now been referred to the Rajasthan management and the IPL's technical committee.
"The matter has now been referred to the team management of the Rajasthan Royals and the IPL's technical committee as per the laws of cricket that govern our game," Lalit Modi, chairman and commissioner of the IPL, said. "I now await the report from the technical committee and will then decide on the future course of action."
Kamran can continue to play until he is proven guilty of an illegal action.
Kamran, from Azamgarh in the north-Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, was spotted by Rajasthan team director Darren Berry at a talent scouting camp earlier this year. He impressed Shane Warne instantly after bowling one over against the Cape Cobras in a warm-up game played a couple of days before the IPL kicked off. In five IPL games he has taken six wickets at 20.66, limping off the field during his last over against Chennai on Thursday. He was the bowler chosen by Warne to bowl the decisive 'super over' in the win against Kolkata Knight Riders.
